Ridgeline's Sweetgrass Maple MH

Maple is eleven and a half and runs the house. She had three litters for us — 2017, 2018 and 2021, the last one giving us Hazel — and was spayed after that. Her muzzle has gone grey and her hearing is going, and she still knows exactly when it's 5 o'clock. She walks two miles most mornings, swims when the river's low, and is the one we send to settle a new puppy family's nerves on visiting day. Retiring a dog here means she stays here: none of our breeding dogs is rehomed when her litters are done.
