Skye × Hammer, 2022

Skye's first litter, by FC AFC Blackwater's Hammer Down, an outside sire from Fargo, North Dakota. Hammer is E/E, so every puppy was black. He's also an EIC carrier, which we knew and published at the time: we tested all nine, and four carry EIC. None can be affected, because Skye is clear. Rye, who we kept, is one of the four carriers.

Eight of nine have OFA finals: two Excellent, six Good, elbows all Normal. The ninth lives with a retired couple in Oregon who chose not to x-ray. Kyle Reinholt's Ranger went Qualified All-Age in April 2025, owner-handled.
