Rye is our big-water dog. She will swim past a decoy spread in November without a second look and come back with the cripple, and she is happiest when the job is long and cold. At home she is the clown: steals gloves, carries them around, gives them back. She is the most biddable dog we have — she wants to know what you want — which is why we think she'll make honest family hunting dogs as well as test dogs. She's an EIC carrier, published here and on OFA, and she'll only be bred to an EIC-clear male.
