Rua is a farm dog first. He came from Cwmhir in mid-Wales at ten weeks, out of working parents, and he does the morning check on the ewes with Ciarán whatever the weather. He is steady rather than flashy — he reads sheep well, works close, and walks off stock calmly when he is told that'll do. Indoors he is the easiest dog we have ever owned: he greets visitors once, politely, and then goes to his bed. He is MDR1 clear, which is part of why we chose him for Sorcha.
