Jasper came to us at eight weeks from the Thistlebay kennel in Northumberland. His line is unrelated to ours, which is why we chose him. He is a big, easy, sensible dog and the one who walks our granddaughter to the village school, sits quietly in the vet's waiting room and lies under the table at the pub. He is a better retriever than show dog: he will hold a dummy all day but finds standing still in the ring very dull. He has two Reserve CCs. He is the sire of Wren and of Bramble's Wildflower litter. He stands at stud only to health-tested bitches. He snores.
